Lent and Easter at PCC
As part of a Lenten experience, in order to devote a fuller attention to Jesus, many people choose to give something up: a certain food, a habit, an activity, a pattern…These kinds of denials can be good steps. We must be careful, however, not to give up chocolate or sweets, for example, as one more way to feel in control of our own lives or to actualize our personal goals. Lent is about creating space to give ourselves further over to Jesus and to his cross, which is the sole ground of our salvation and also the pattern for our own lives, as we pick up our crosses together with him and follow him, in pathways of loving sacrifice in his name that give life to the world. Here are a few resources that offer some guidance as you journey through this lenten season.
