Daniel Schwertz
Interim Director of Student Ministries

Born and raised in New Orleans, Daniel first came to Los Angeles as a college ministry intern with Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) on the campus of UCLA. Sitting on a pew of the Hollywood Bowl listening to John Williams conduct the LA Phil, Daniel decided to make the city his home. He has continued to fall further in love with the people, culture, and endless food scene of Los Angeles.

Daniel joined PCC staff as the Director of Hope for LA in 2023, after serving as Operations Manager for the Center for Faith and Work LA. Through his work at HFLA, Daniel hopes not just to mobilize Christians to serve the city, but to fall in love with it the way he has. He currently serves as the Interim Director of Student Ministries working with youth in middle and high schools.

Besides engaging with the work of the church, Daniel loves watching the sun set on the San Gabriel’s from the top deck of Dodger Stadium, listening to jazz on Friday nights in Pasadena, stuffing his face with tacos al pastor from his local food truck, and hosting cookouts in his backyard.
