We will cover everything from expectations for Community Group leaders to how to lead discussions. Attending the session does not commit you to leading, but it is required for all new leaders. On Sunday, February 12, we will be hosting our biannual Community Group Fair after each service. Representatives from each of our Community Groups will be available after all services to connect you to the group that’s right for you. Joining a Community Group is the best way to get connected to Pacific Crossroads. Community Groups are weekly gatherings in homes and offices around Los Angeles where people meet to know one another, pray, read the Bible and serve our city. These groups are not only one of the best ways to meet people at Crossroads—they are one of the best ways to experience everything we talk, pray and sing about on Sundays.

These groups are like other Community Groups except for the fact that everyone is new to the group. Launch Groups meet just for 6 weeks to start, eventually becoming the foundation for new Community Groups.
Genesis to Revelation: Understanding the Bible as Story
Feb 19, 2012 - 11:00 AM – Feb 19, 2012 12:00 PM
The Bible is not a textbook of systematic theology. It is a story, God’s story of how He saves His people. Genesis to Revelation: Understanding the Bible as Story is a 6-week class that provides a narrative approach to theology that will help you understand your own place as an actor in the unfolding drama of the Kingdom. This class, taught by elder and screenwriter Brian Godawa, will practically equip you to read the Bible from a gospel perspective.
Join us for an informal business social event to find counsel, network, and hear a few short remarks regarding business. We are hoping to establish a place for business owners, executives, entrepreneurs, and those will P&L responsibilities to meet like-minded people, network, and build stronger relationships within our business community, as we seek out to better understand how the gospel intersects our professional lives.
Email daveswallace@gmail.com to RSVP and for the location. Please bring an appetizer to share.

As we prepare for Easter, we as a church have set aside these 6 weeks to corporately pray through our prayer book, Thy Kingdom Come. Starting this Sunday, there will be a room open during and after the services for a time of focused prayer (look for the signs). There will be stations with prayer cards from Thy Kingdom Come grouped by topics. There will also be stations for repentance and for meditating on the cross. Someone from the prayer team will be available to pray with you. Please take full advantage of this time to pray for Pacific Crossroads and the city we serve.
