The Gospel of God

The gospel of God is the good news that Jesus Christ, creation’s rightful King, has come to inaugurate God’s kingdom on earth. He came to rule not in power or by force, but through the weakness of His crucifixion on a cross. He redeemed for Himself a people to live under His gracious rule and authority, and His resurrection bears the promise of new life and the guarantee that God will indeed make all things new, all to the praise of His glorious grace. The gospel is cosmic in scope, it is expansive and animates everything that we do; it is thus the center from which all other core values irrepressibly flow.

Gospel Community

The gospel gives birth to a new community that does not regard race, class, success, utility or appearance. Rather, we are all declared equals as sinners saved by grace. We seek to be a community of indiscriminate love, sincere humility, and deep concern for both spiritual and material needs. We also desire to cultivate a culture of hospitality and respect for those who do not share our beliefs, as we extend the same welcome to others that Jesus extended to us.

Gospel Discipleship

The gospel is cosmic in scope, but it is also intensely personal. And the personal call of the gospel is to follow Jesus as real-life apprentices who are continually and actively engaged in learning how to live by the grace of God under His rule and authority. We desire to see lives changed by the gospel of grace so that the people of God, grounded in the Word of God, are equipped for the ministry of God.

Gospel Mission

The gospel defines our identity and our mission as one: we are witnesses to the gospel of God, declaring with our words and our lives that Jesus is Lord. We believe that we are called to love, serve and seek the welfare of the city in which God has placed us, and that such faithful service and presence will impact every dimension of our culture. We also desire to partner with other like-minded individuals and groups to support gospel-centered church-planting movements in cities around the world.
